On the 27th of January, the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ghiyas Barakat inspected the progress of examination proceedings at Damascus University, accompanied by the Chairman of the Interim Subcommittee for the branch of Damascus University Dr. Ali Hamza, the University President Dr. Wael Mualla, and the Associate Minister of Student Affairs Dr. Ali Abu Zeid.
The tour included the Faculty of Economics, Civil Engineering, and Education at the University, and an assessment was undertaken of the examination atmosphere, the proper running of examinations, and the degree to which the basic necessities for them were available.
The Minister and his associates heading the exams also reviewed the measures taken for the smooth running of the examinations at the University, and the observations and opinions of the students concerning the level of the questions and their consistency with what had been scheduled.
